Sharing a National Treasure: Linda S. Ferber Traveling Exhibition Program
As New York’s first museum and one of the nation’s oldest collecting institutions, the New-York Historical Society holds a remarkable repository of rich collections. The Sharing a National Treasure program makes these extraordinary works of art and historical artifacts accessible to audiences throughout the world. Since the program’s launch in 2008, the New-York Historical Society has traveled exhibitions to venues throughout the United States, as well as The Netherlands, Germany, and Spain. In addition, the program has supported the publication of several fully-illustrated publications. With a robust schedule of exhibitions currently on tour and more under development, there are many opportunities to explore the significant treasures of this collection.
