Bronze footed tray (kylix) with shallow circular dish with central plaque; opposing upcurving squared handles with head of bearded man at each terminus; central plaque with classical scene of two male figures, one playing a flute or pipe (depicts the meeting of Menalcas and Mopsus); engraving surrounding plaque.
Gallery Label:
This tray was presented to the famous singer Emma Thursby (1845-1931) to commemorate her triumph in Paris in April, 1879.
